You may not believe it, but the recent film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is actually pretty good. It’s got a solid balance of all the tropes you’d expect from a film with that title plus it’s got a secret weapon. It’s not a stake or crossbow or something like that—it’s Doctor Who himself, Matt Smith.
Smith plays Parson Collins in the film, a potential suitor for Elizabeth Bennet, who never really has a chance. He’s a bit of an idiot really, and Smith’s performance is laugh-out-loud hilarious at every turn. Case in point, check out this exclusive clip from the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Blu-ray extras. It’s the “Mr. Collins Line-Rama” and features Smith being really funny and eating a whole bunch of scones. It’s mesmerizing.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is now out on digital download, then will hit 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on May 31. Check it out, we think you’ll be surprised.
