Yet another version of the Flash is joining The Flash. Elizabeth Henstridge discusses Simmons’ fate in Agents of SHIELD. Plus, teasers for Doctor Strange’s costume, crazy casting news for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and a Doctor-Doom-filled clip from Fantastic Four. Spoilers now!

Doctor Strange

During a presentation in Africa, Disney showed concept art of Benedict Cumberbatch’s take on Doctor Strange—and several descriptions of the look have made it to Twitter. [Comic Book]

A rumor is circulating that Kraven the Hunter, the comic book villain who is the world’s greatest hunter and declares Spider-Man to be his ultimate prey, is being considered as the lead villain of the reboot. However, this rumor, coming from Heroic Hollywood, comes from the fact that Karen Moy, Vice President of Creative Affairs over at Sony, has allegedly acquired a copy of the comic storyline Kraven’s Last Hunt recently—so gather as many grains of salt as you can muster to take this one with. Suicide Squad

Viola Davis discusses joining the film, and how ABC were willing to let her despite her lead role in How To Get Away With Murder.

They were totally willing to work it out, I’d never seen anything like it. Paul Lee came up to me and said, ‘Oh, I want you to have everything.’ Who does that? I was very lucky.

I mean, you saw the trailer so the trailer very much, what you see is these superheroes have been humanized. That’s what makes this kind of a different superhero movie.

Tim Miller teases Cable for the sequel, and why Negasonic Teenage Warhead was added to the film:

We kind of wanted a straight-man to play against Colossus. We thought about Cannonball, but he would’ve been a stupid hick character, whereas the guys wrote Negasonic as this deadpan goth teen, which was a great angle. She turned out really well. There aren’t really many definitive Deadpool villains, apart from Cable. If we don’t put Cable in ‘Deadpool 2,’ I think we’ll be run out of town on a rail.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Colin Farrell has been cast as Graves, a Wizard protagonist Newt Scamander meets during his trip to New York. [Coming Soon]

Fantastic Four

Comicbook.com are reporting that contrary to earlier reports that the film had renamed Victor Von Doom to “Victor Domashev” as part of his background update, the released cut of the film keeps the Von Doom name for the character.

Speaking of Doctor Doom, Victor goes on a rampage in this new clip from the film. [CBR]

The Flash

Divergent star Keiynan Lonsdale has been cast as Wally West for the show’s second season. Wally West becomes another speedforce-powered superhero dubbed “Kid Flash” in the comics—and actually replaced Barry Allen as The Flash following the character’s death in Crisis on Infinite Earths. While there’s a chance Wally doesn’t actually become a hero during the second season, the CW’s press release specifically refers to the character’s background as Kid Flash, which makes it a distinct possibility. Dirk Gently

BBC America have announced that they will adapt Douglas Adam’s holistic detective for a new TV series (unrelated to the BBC’s previous attempt to adapt the show)—the show will be written by Chronicle’s Max Landis, and will take place in the U.S. rather than the U.K. [Blastr]

Agents Of SHIELD

Elizabeth Henstridge teases the fallout of Simmons being trapped inside the mysterious Kree artifact at the end of season 2:

We’re going to find out what happened to Simmons pretty quickly. She’s definitely changed by the experience, and what’s happened to her is going to impact the season — kind of as a theme or something like that.

Doctor Who

Reece Shearsmith has been cast in a role for an episode penned by Mark Gatiss, currently planned as the ninth episode of season 9. [Doctor Who News]

American Horror Story: Hotel

Glee star Darren Criss is allegedly in talks to join the show in a guest role. He’d play Justin, “a Silver Lake hipster who heads to the hotel on Halloween with his equally hip girlfriend to escape pesky trick-or-treaters”. [E! Online]

Rick & Morty

Dan Harmon discusses potentially turning Morty evil. [CBR]

We’ve probably talked about Evil Morty in that writer’s room more than we actually spent working on actual episodes that aired. And I think the very wise decision that we made after talking that much about Evil Morty was that it all — none of it was coming from a place of joy. When things get academic, it starts to feel like the last few episodes of “Mork and Mindy.”

The third episode of season 4 will be called “Restoration”. [Spoiler TV]

Scream Queens

Meet Lea Michele’s character Hester in a new behind-the-scenes featurette.

Under The Dome

Here’s two new sneak peeks from “Breaking Point”.

Finally, here’s a new villain-focused promo poster for season 2—go to the link to see a few more. [CBR]
