Wes Craven (Scream, A Nightmare On Elm Street) and Steve Niles (co-creator of 30 Days of Night) are working on a TV adaptation of Niles’ latest comic: The Disciples. It’s described as “a scifi horror story set in space.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Disciples comic will be out in May. Alas, Craven will neither write nor direct the show; he’ll be one of its executive producers. Niles and Craven previously collaborated on monster-horror graphic novel Coming of Rage, once floated as a possible TV series as well.

Of his other TV projects, THR made a nod to the past and, oh yeah, that Scream-inspired MTV series that’s happening later this year, but graciously avoided using Freddy Krueger’s signature line about prime time:

Craven has only worked in TV sporadically. He co-created the short-lived anthology show Nightmare Cafe in the early ’90s and is involved in MTV’s version of his horror movie franchise Scream, which is scheduled to air in fall 2015.
