Apparently everybody at NASA/JPL Mission Control got free Mars bars and the more traditional Mission Control snack peanuts to eat while waiting to see Mars through the eyes of rover Curiosity. Here Pauline Hwang, left, and Nagin Cox show their snacks while preparing for the MSL landing. Mission Control is sending its final signals to Curiosity before communications blackout descends. All we can do is munch on peanuts while our brave science robot gets ready to set its treads on Mars!
