We've been following BP's attempts to contain and clean up the awful mess surrounding the Deepwater Horizon wellhead in the Gulf of Mexico, but sometimes it's so easy to focus on the errors of a company and forget that there are people for whom the threat of a such disaster is a part of every waking and sleeping hour.
