Slender Man is what happens when the Internet gets involved in the folklore business. Created on a sunny June day in the Something Awful forums, Slender Man started as a couple of creepy photoshopped images and evolved into a full-blown monster meme about a paranormal creature with a blank face, dark suit, and tentacle-like arms. Animation Domination High Def created this sweet ditty, “Sympathy for the Slender Man,” explaining that the Internet legend just wants to be your friend.
Oh wait, no he doesn’t. This is all a horrifying ruse. Don’t click that video. And if you do click that video, don’t watch through to the end—at least not if you want to avoid tender Slender Man nightmares.
