During his speech at the big COMDEX trade show in Las Vegas Sunday night, Bill Gates confirmed that an update for Microsoft’s Tablet PC operating system is coming sometime in the middle of next year and that it will be offered for free to current Tablet PC owners. Some of the improvements include better handwriting recognition technology and new ways for developers to integrate handwriting into their software programs.
