His grandparents told him stories of the Civil War and entertainment didn't come at the push of a button for him. But now at 114 the oldest man in the world, Walter Breuning, has died in Montana. He died of natural causes in a Great Falls hospital, where he had been a patient because of an undisclosed illness. [AP]
Born in 1896...Holly hell. Can't even imagine all the stuff he's seen and been through.
Also, fun fact, the current generation (I expect that means 0 to 20-somethings) is the first generation that's expected to live shorter on average than our parents. Well, not so fun.
Hope they've already preserved a sample of DNA to see what it did right.
