You Really Can Make Anything With 3D Printers, Even McRibs

McRib

3D printing has come a long way from just Jay Leno making car parts in his insane garage to something real people can use to make neat things. So I had Sculpteo, a 3D printing service, make me a McRib.

Sculpteo's a European company, but they've recently expanded to the US. What you can do is send them an item designed in 3D CAD software—kinda prohibitive, to be sure—and they will create a real-world object for you. What's neat is that you can make keychains, action figures and even yourself, printed on an avatar figure. Although I would have enjoyed myself just as much as Seinfeld enjoyed fisilli Jerry, I thought a McRib was more appropriate. [Sculpteo]
