Being a human's great, but sometimes it would be cool to experience the world from a different perspective. I'd love to be this little wasp, hitching a ride on the back of a damselfly.
In fact, the little fella in question is a newly discovered species of parasitoid wasp—and the first of its kind to ever be spotted catching a lift. The wasps are actually hanging out with damselfly in order to lay their own eggs inside the damselfly's eggs.
Then, the wasp larvae will eat the unhatched offspring of the damselfly. Talk about ungrateful. [New Scientist]
