We have heard about the potential health benefits of inhaling pure oxygen since the 90's—but in Japan this fad is still going strong. In fact, they are getting their dogs involved with products like this new O2 Doghouse. Marketed as a "dog hospital" of sorts, the O2 Doghouse will deliver 100% pure oxygen to your sick pooch while he rests inside. And the best part is that you can hit the generator as well—so both you and your dog can relax side by side. Now that is what I call bonding. [Trends in Japan via DVICE]

If God wanted us breathing Oxygen he would have uh...um.
Hmm.
Pure oxygen is actually not good for you at all. Oxidants such as oxygen ions are responsible for oxidative DNA damage and cancer.
Till someone swaps the canister with something "not so nice" and then both you and your dog can go into coma induced sleep forever...
pure oxygen can be lethal, and on top of that its highly combustible
That thing's way far out, man. And combustibles would burn real quick-like, man! Clam-bakerino!! Don't dutch-oven it out first, though, or KABLAMMO, man KABLAMMO!
@Munch420s:
I think you do it afterward, like a whippet.
ssssst
ere...
@Gordon_Shumway: Hehehe... "Oxidants such as oxygen ions"?... sorry, someone had to say it.
google: "oxygen toxicity" and hit i'm feeling lucky
This is perfect for my dog with emphysema
@boomersooner9133:
Oxygen is not a fuel and therefore not combustible at all. It is an accelerant, meaning that there needs to be a fuel source. Do me a favor and try to light pure oxygen, it won't work. Now ad butane or propane etc. into the mix and you have and you will have a rapidly growing fire, but the oxygen itself will not catch.
@Gordon_Shumway: Smoking is too and rates of smoking are going up in Japan.
pure oxygen is bad for you? wow, never knew that.
what's up with the oxygen bars i occasionally see news stories on? i'm guessing 'watered' down oxygen?
I thought were breathing O2 already
@omureadhaigh: yes oxygen is an accelerant i knew that and that you cant have a flame in a pure oxygen environment but seeing as the possibility of leak into a non pure oxygen environment is highly plausible its still a great fire hazard
