Bang & Olufsen is a Danish outfit that makes high-quality goods for audiophiles and videophiles, but most of their products are aimed at consumers who don’t really care about price (translation: expensive.) The A3 iPad dock falls firmly in that category. Most accounts and reviews call it a uniquely and attractively designed — if bizarre — iPad dock and they liked the effect of turning your Apple tablet into a little B&O TV.
Since it’s made by Bang & Olufsen and packing a subwoofer and three tweeters, you can expect to get some really nice sound out of it. Its triangular form is certainly design forward, and it’ll dock with any 30-pin iPad. It seems to be primarily aimed at the European market—most online retailers cite prices in Euro or pounds, and the only American retailers offering it still have it at $550. When it launched in May, it cost more than most versions of the iPad, but today, you can buy it for $350 from Groupon. [Groupon]
