RIM has made its bed and is going to be outsold by Motorola's Droid. Verizon has already put 110% more marketing behind the droid and the new commercial is hillarious. I honestly think that all the messing around RIM has done with review units and blogs , especially with Gizmodo is going to cost them their market share and also their business. #blackberrystorm2
After the migraines my storm has given me, that thing would practically need to print out cigars and hookers for me to like it. However, I try to be forgiving, and really hoped for a strong push with a strong device to back it up.
I feel like Obi-Wan screaming "but you were the chosen one" while watching the storm die in a flaming death. Touted to be the iPhone killer, but really just being an annoying kid that did nothing but end up killing peoples views of blackberries/ younglings in the process. And now it gets reborn; sleeker, blacker, and quietly. Maybe it will end up being the "chosen one", but only after it tries to enslave the galaxy and sword fights its kid. #blackberrystorm2
Several people in my office have the original Storm. It's such a piece of shit that each of them have been through a minimum of three.
Buttons falling off, battery draining/overheating, freezing, etc... So, since this one is the "2" version, does that mean it sucks twice as much, or half as much? #blackberrystorm2
It sounds like the Wii MotionPlus will be completely useless till the end of July. I cannot imagine a game coming out before Wii Sports Resort that would be worth forking over $90 for (the price of two Wii MotionPlus addons at $20 each and a $50 game).
@Zaxxon Q Blaque: Grr... didn't mean to send a blank comment. >_< Seriously... edit button... it's doable.
Anyhoo, I have noticed that my remote as-is is kinda wonky. The cursor jumps around the screen... a LOT. I'm hoping that this will alleviate that issue. Anyone else having that problem?
I'm not buying it until there are at least two 8.5+ rated games that requires it. I've had it with Nintendo's strategy of "death by a thousand accessories" and unless there are two games that I absolutely must play (which there really hasn't been for 6 months or more) I won't bother.
@fuzzycuffs: I've been using Snow Leopard for a while, and as far as I can tell, nothing has changed on the external end at all. The new underpinnings are nice to mention, but are not something worth making more than one article about. I've been testing this on a Core Duo Macbook, so not even I can really get much benefit out of the new build. On a faster current gen machine, I don't think anyone will be able to tell beyond clicking on "About his Mac".
@fuzzycuffs: Probably because a LOT fewer people give a crap. To the point that people barely even bother to pirate Apple stuff, let alone want to read about it.
@Zombie_Belvedere: People do pirate Apple stuff, all the time. It's also rather desirable to do so because much of Apple's software does not call back to be validated/activated after purchase. All you need is the key and you're ready to go.
I've always liked the Sidekick formfactor, so I find this very appealing, even if I'm outside of the demographic that would consider a "lime" phone. The OS is what matters though. Wouldn't it be nice if it could be flashed by the user to Android? Maybe some clever folks will be able to figure out how to do that...
@Lite: because the stock photo was mean to be seen right-side-up (portrait), but giz flipped it on its side (landscape) to give you a better view of the keyboard
