The Onion's TED talk parodies return with the reveal of a remarkable new app called PicSong that turns your countless photos into music—for anyone who might want to do that for some reason.

As fictional software CEO Thomas Fisk takes the stage to reveal PicSong (an app you can't actually download although similar apps probably already exist) he explains the inspiration that led him and his company to create the app that someone, somewhere, might want to download.

So I asked myself, what are two separate things? Can I turn one of those things into the other thing? And I did.

And parody or not, it's hard to believe this isn't the approach taken by the developers who are clogging up the various app stores we use every day.
