James Bond and his harem of "Bond Girls" usually look like sex wrapped around a hot stick. But every now and again, Bond misses his mark. Big time. Sometimes, Bond goes way overboard.
Here are the 15 worst James Bond fashion moments on film.
Behold, your first stirrup-pant-jumpsuit villain. Francisco Scaramanga from The Man with the Golden Gun (1974).
Proving that it is, in fact, impossible for James Bond to look cool in 80s snow wear. However, you three in the back, loving the boots. Roger Moore and a cowboy snow bunny in For Your Eyes Only (1981)
Fashion foreshadowing, long before Sean Connery was Zardoz, he was practicing framing his junk in tiny pieces of tight red fabric. Also, why the red suit? You're a spy. You're supposed to be hidden, there's a black suit right there in front of you. You're looking at it. Fuck it, we're doing red, Thunderball (1965). EDIT: Apparently Red looks Black at night underwater. Good thing he has his reflective shorts on.
"My Vagina has Wings" Dress from A View to a Kill (1985).
Grace Jones has a lot of seriously fierce moments in A View to a Kill (1985). But she also has a few questionable ones as well. Specifically the ninja mask — does she really need a mask? I'm pretty sure the gorgeous, fantastic pink eyeshadowed glamazon did it.
Moonraker (1979) babies, otherwise known as the poorly dressed, genetically perfect chosen to repopulate the planet from Hugo Drax's space station.
The Octopussy red jumpsuits all the way to the bikini harem. I would never be a part of a cult with such restrictive clothing.
This is what people wear hunting, obviously. Moonraker (1979).
Pussy Galore's Flying Circus from Goldfinger (1964). Yes. All of it. Amazing, yes thank you. I had to include it because well... but I would join this flight crew. Just for the belt.
I'm going to the circus! Octopussy (1983).
There was a lot of amazing 70s moments in Live and Let Die (1973). And some not so great ones from Tee Hee's lapels to Solitaire's whole-lotta-look, psychic outfits (pictured above). But we have to say the best worst was this fella, and his cane sash.
Tiffany Case in the long-sleeved bathing suit, tied thing from Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
We know ruffles were "of the time" but there's something wrong about James Bond in frills, On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).
Nuclear Physicist Christmas Jones everyone! Look we're not saying Nuclear Physicists can't be sexy, we're just saying they would probably wear pants on the job. The World is Not Enough (1999).
Terrycloth jumper. Terrycloth jumper. Terrycloth jumper. Terrycloth jumper. Terrycloth jumper. Terrycloth jumper. Terrycloth jumper. Goldfinger (1964).
UPDATE: HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN THIS TERRIBLE WIG. Apologies. You Only Live Twice (1967).
