Don’t you just love functional pieces of public art? This comb bike rack may not be as high-tech as the NYC concept bike rack, but there’s something to be said about a simple design that everyone can use.

Made at the co-op Knowhow Shop in LA and erected in Roanoke, Virginia, the bike rack is “handcrafted out of Mangaris using full mortise and tenon construction, while the hair is made from powder coated steel.” I didn’t even notice that the black bars were meant to represent hair, so I wonder what the bikes are? *shudder* [Knowhow Shop LA via Good via The Fox Is Black via @Full_Beard]
