CodeHackerz has everything you want from a hacker movie: crazy slo-mo scenes in blue light of two guys hacking, an asteroid headed straight for Earth (which can only be stopped by hacking), jokes about ARM processors and the Android OS, and random pictures of Bill Gates looking sexy.
CodeHackerz was created by Jonathan Franco, Matthew Levenstein, and Micheal Parks at University of Central Florida in 2013 as part of Campus MovieFest, the world's largest student film festival.
Parks wrote to io9:
Some friends and I made a short hacker-stereotype film that features blatant misuse of mathematics and a lack of understanding of basic scientific concepts (you know, in the spirit of how hacking is usually portrayed on film).
So true. I think this movie actually captures a pretty large subset of the 11 Elite Rules of Movies About Computer Hacking.
