The latest Ring Floodlight Cam Pro makes it easy to keep an eye on the outdoors with Retinal 4K video that captures plenty of detail. If you’ve been wanting to pick one up, Amazon is offering a chance to grab it without paying the full price.

The retail giant has slashed 18% off the usual $280 price, bringing it down to just $230. Trading in an eligible device can take up to 20% more off your total, so if you’ve got an older security camera lying around, you can use it to upgrade for even less.

Two-way talk, along with a built-in siren

This floodlight camera captures everything in crisp Retinal 4K video. It keeps all the details (like the number plate of an unknown vehicle or an intruder’s face) perfectly visible in all lighting conditions. If you’d like a closer look at something specific, you can zoom in up to 10x to spot all those tiny details. Additionally, there’s a dedicated Low-Light Sight feature that offers a full-color view in the near-dark when the floodlights are off. You basically get a clear picture of what’s happening outside, day or night.

The floodlights illuminate the space when motion is detected, which is great for deterring potential intruders and also makes it easy to see your way in when you come home late. The camera also lets you map out the important zones you’d like to be alerted about if it notices any activity in them. This makes it easy to only be notified about the spots that actually matter, such as your driveway! On top of all this, there’s support for two-way talk to communicate with whoever is on the other side, right through your phone.

Setting the thing up is pretty simple. The Ring app shares step-by-step instructions on how to install the camera and get started. Quite a few features are available for free, but you can get the more advanced ones with a compatible Ring Protect Plan. A subscription unlocks features like intelligent recognition and emergency monitoring, plus lets you rewatch any key moments that you missed.

The built-in loud siren can also be activated using the Ring app if floodlights alone aren’t enough to warn an unwanted visitor! You can now enjoy all these features and more for $230 with the current 18% discount. Trading in an older, eligible device can knock a few more bucks off your total, as well. You’ll just need to hurry to grab the offer, as it won’t be here for long!
