Amazon Goes Hard on CPU Deals With the AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT at Near-Black-Friday Pricing

PC parts can still be found for less if you keep an eye out.

PC parts have been steadily going up for a long time now, and frankly, it’s making putting together your own rig or upgrading your existing one increasingly taxing. It just means that you really need to be sure you’re making a good choice when choosing new parts, and it also makes any and all deals a lot more worthwhile, assuming it’s something you need to get. If you’ve been hoping to get an upgrade to your CPU without breaking the bank, then today could be the chance to do just that.

The AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT Processor has a fair amount of speed despite being a little lower on the price side of things, and with the price being even lower right now thanks to a 18% discount. While it’d normally cost you $349, you can currently get it for $285 instead, which is a great if you’ve been waiting for a good time to get a new CPU.

Faster, Stronger, Better

While not the most impressive model on the market, the Ryzen 9 5900XT still has an impressive amount of power and speed, and it makes for a good upgrade if you’ve been using the same CPU for a while now. It’s easy to end up upgrading your CPU last as well. It’s essential, sure, but it’s far from the most interesting thing to invest money in. Most people would rather spend a bit of money on a new GPU, or if you’ve lucked out, some RAM. However, given that it’s the core of any PC, it’s always worth investing in properly.

This CPU has 16 cores, 32-threads, and it’s unlocked in case you feel like dabbling with overclocking. Make sure you know what you’re doing before getting into that, but it’s nice to have the option available whether you’re looking for it or just hoping to get into it later on. It has DDR4-3200 support too, so it’s good if you’re looking at last-gen RAM to grab, given that it’s a fair bit cheaper than DDR5 RAM at the moment, and that’s likely to be the case for a while.

Any chance to grab yourself some money off on any PC parts right now is a good one, which means that you will want to look into picking this up if you’re hoping to sort out your PC. The $285 price tag here isn’t likely to stick around for very long, so we do recommend being as fast as possible if you want to ensure you can save some money.
