The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are Google’s flagship wireless earbuds, built around the Tensor A1 chip, 11mm drivers, and Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal 2.0. The earbuds use a twist-to-adjust stabilizer to lock in the ear during workouts or to adjust for all-day comfort, with an IP54 rating for sweat and splash resistance. Battery life ranges from 12 hours per charge with ANC off to 8 hours with ANC on, with the wireless charging case adding another 36 to 40 hours between charges.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds are currently $161 on Amazon, down from their $229 list price for a 29% discount.

A great pair of earbuds for audiophiles and casual listeners alike

The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are the first earbuds to ship with Google’s Tensor A1 chip, which handles audio processing, noise cancellation, and AI features, all built into the earbuds themselves. The processing runs in parallel paths, so your music passes directly to the drivers without being routed through the noise cancellation pipeline. This allows the audio to come through cleanly, even when ANC is working at maximum.

Anyone who’s tried to listen to music on a noisy commute knows how thin the cheaper earbuds get when you have to crank the volume to drown out the bus or the train. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 cancel up to twice as much noise as the previous generation, with Silent Seal 2.0 calibrating the ANC to your specific ear shape during use. Adaptive Audio also adjusts the noise reduction based on your surroundings, so the earbuds don’t blast cancellation while you’re sitting alone at home.

Battery life ranges from 12 hours with ANC off to 8 hours with ANC on, which holds up for a long flight or a full workday without needing the case. The case adds another 36 to 40 hours of charge, depending on whether ANC is running, with a 5-minute quick charge giving you about 1.5 hours of additional playback. Plus, the case supports both USB-C and wireless charging pads, so you can drop it on a Qi pad without plugging in.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 also handle real-time language translation through your Android phone, with the earbuds and your phone working together to translate spoken conversations in the moment. The twist-to-adjust stabilizer wings keep the earbuds in place during workouts without the slipping that the original Pixel Buds Pro had. In addition, Conversation Detection pauses your music and switches to Transparency mode the moment you start talking to someone.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are Google’s flagship earbuds, and this Prime Day brings them down to $161 on Amazon. For Pixel users who want spatial audio and head-tracking features locked to Google’s hardware, or anyone on Android looking for ANC earbuds with longer battery life than the AirPods Pro lineup, the discount brings the price down to the same range as midrange ANC earbuds rather than flagship-tier pricing.
