You didn’t ditch your Blu-Ray player for good once the streaming craze hit, did you? Of course not — streaming is definitely convenient, but there’s nothing more on-demand than all of your favorite movies and shows sitting on a shelf in your home, ready to be watched and rewatched anytime. Best of all, you only pay for those once, and if you’re restocking your shelves during Amazon’s 3 for $33 Blu-Ray sale, you’re paying an awesomely small price for them.

Buy at least 3 titles during this sale, and that $11 per disc price goes as far as you want it to — 11 for $121, anyone? Amazon’s catalog of 4K Blu-Ray selections is definitely deep enough that you could easily go that far and beyond.

Catch Up on the Latest Hits

This Amazon sale covers a wide catalog, and the current selection skews toward recent titles more than previous runs have. Dune, Dune: Part Two, Godzilla Minus One, The Wild Robot, Twisters, Furiosa, Final Destination Bloodlines, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 are all in the mix. If you’re more of a classics person, the back catalog is well represented too — Jurassic Park, Jaws, The Dark Knight, Goodfellas, Casablanca, and Mad Max: Fury Road are all available at the same $11 rate.

Before you fill your cart, though, it is worth noting that you’ll need a UHD-capable disc player to watch any of these great titles. A PlayStation 5 with a disc drive or an Xbox Series X both work, provided you’re running an HDMI 2.0 or better cable to a 4K TV. If you’ve got that setup already, the sale is straightforward — add at least three movies, the discount applies automatically, and it goes as deep into the very long list of titles as you want.

Turn Back the Clock

Physical media has had a rough few years as streaming has expanded, but 4K UHD is genuinely the highest-quality home video format available. There’s a real argument for owning discs of films you actually care about, too. Streaming libraries shift around, with titles disappearing as suddenly as they arrive, but a disc library stays the same. The picture quality on a well-mastered 4K UHD title also tends to outperform what most streaming services deliver, even on the same TV. And if you haven’t seen the streaming prices lately, even on the rentals of new releases, $11 for a title you keep forever is about to look even better.

Some titles in sales like this tend to go out of stock before the promotion ends, so if there’s a specific film you’ve been meaning to pick up, sooner is better. Head to Amazon to browse the full selection and lock in your picks.
