Today we gave you the sad news that Sony may not be producing robotic dogs anymore, but it looks like the consumer electronics giant has made another cost-cutting move, deciding to close its Walkman plant in Japan and no longer make the devices in-country. What that means for the Walkman as a brand, I’m not sure, but by March 2007, the Saitama, Japan plant will be closed down for good.
