Apple Finally Killed the iPod Classic. RIP iPod Classic.

Today is a sad day. Today is also a happy day for several exciting reasons, but today is a sad day for one very specific reason. Today is the day the iPod Classic died.

It's true. Following its volley of announcements this morning, Apple updated its website per usual, and per usual, inventories shifted. The inventory of iPod Classics is just gone, though. You can buy a Shuffle or a Nano in seven different colors. You can buy an iPod Touch in five different colors. But you cannot buy an iPod Classic. Not a single one.

I know what you're thinking: Didn't the iPod Classic die a long time ago? In some people's hearts, it surely did. But not this blogger's. For me, that old clickwheel will keep on spinning, round and round forever.

I have been debating on buying a new Ipod soon and was looking at the classic. I have the ipod touch now and really just want a dedicated mp3 player that doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Isn't the ipod classic battery life better too?
