It doesn’t matter whether you are or not, because it’s coming in 2017. The film will be made and released by Hasbro’s new Allspark Pictures label, which is also doing the live-action Jem and the Holograms movie. Hmm… can anyone say “Hasbro Cinematic Universe”? (I kid, I kid.)

Joe Ballarini, who wrote Fox’s “Ice Age: Continental Drift” is penning the script for the “Pony” pic, while Megan McCarthy, who produces and has written for the series “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic,” and straight-to-home video “My Little Pony: Equestria Girls” films, will serve as co-executive producer on the theatrical movie.
I have nothing snarky to say about My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic or its many fans, although I am not looking forward to another million news reports in 2017 on what “Bronies” are and asking if they’re a danger to civilized society.
