Averatec’s releasing a small ultra-portable notebook that’s not altogether wimpy in terms of power. It has an intel Pentium M 1.1 GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 80GB hard disk, dual layer DVD, USB 2.0, firewire, memory card reader and VGA port. Everything looks as good as a larger sized notebook except for the CPU, which needs to be smaller and draw less power due to this system’s size.
No word on availability or pricing yet. Nice of Kate Beckinsale to take time off her busy Underworld-making career and pose for the photo.
