Rumor has it that the bookseller is partnering with a manufacturer and a cellular carrier to develop the device, with Sprint (like the Kindle) or AT&T being the frontrunners. B&N took an unsuccessful journey with Microsoft down the eBook road before, but given the success of the Kindle it seems like a good time to get back in the game.
