Barnes and Noble May Jump Into e-Reader Market

If we have learned anything from Blockbuster it’s that you need to embrace technology while you can. So, it makes sense that Barnes and Noble may be plotting their own e-Reader device.

Rumor has it that the bookseller is partnering with a manufacturer and a cellular carrier to develop the device, with Sprint (like the Kindle) or AT&T being the frontrunners. B&N took an unsuccessful journey with Microsoft down the eBook road before, but given the success of the Kindle it seems like a good time to get back in the game. And, of course, another major retailer developing a reader can only mean good things for consumers looking for a deal. [TheStreet]
