BenQ FP-Series LCDs Hit the 5ms Mark

As far as multimedia goes, BenQ’s new FP-Series LCDs aren’t as well-equipped as NEC’s LCD2690WUXi (especially since the latter has HDCP built-in while the former don’t). But the $499 FP222W can still hold its own weight, especially since its the company’s first 20+ inch screen to hit the 5ms response time mark. Joining the FP222W is the 19-inch FP92W ($269), which like its bigger brother packs a 700:1 contrast ratio, 1,440×900 resolution, and VGA and DVI inputs. Personally, I’ve always gravitated toward LCDs than can be used as more than just monitors, so I’d wait to see the pricing on the NEC before going for either of the BenQs.
