If you’re a fitness-minded gamer, and you’re sick and tired of Dance Dance Revolution (and really, we wouldn’t blame you), you might want to check out this MOG equipment by neXfit. It’s an “ExerGame Bike” that hooks up to your Playstation, XBox, or the Internet, and incorporates game and navigation controls right on the handlebar. You can surf the web while riding on the bike, or better yet, pop in your favorite racing game, and go to town cycling away. It even has force feedback on the handlebars and the seat, which would work great with a first-person shooter. You can hook up to eight other bikes for a LAN exercise party; it even comes with a mic for in-game voice chat (I wonder if it’s XBox Live compatible). And lest we forget, this thing is an exercise machine; it has an Online Health Manager for monitoring your progress.
Since I could probably stand to lose a few pounds, this thing actually sounds pretty appealing to me… too bad it costs $2,495. Ah well, I guess it’s back to munching Doritos in front of the computer.
PS. Check out this crazy video of the MOG in action (WMV file).
