Captain America:
Director Joe Johnston talks about this film and drops a few new details:
It's not going to be a Captain America that you expect. It's something different. It is influenced by the comic book, but it goes off in a completely different direction. It's the origin story of Captain America. It's mostly period-there are modern, present-day bookends on it-but it's basically the story of how Steve Rogers becomes Captain America. The great thing about Captain America is, he's a superhero without any superpowers. Which is why this story, among the hundreds of superhero stories, appealed to me the most. He can't fly, he can't see through walls, he can't do any of that stuff. He's an everyman who's been given this amazing gift of transformation into the perfect specimen-the pinnacle of human perfection. How does that affect him? What does that mean for him emotionally and psychologically? He was this 98-pound weakling, he was this wimp, and he's transformed instantly into this Adonis. You'd think he got everything he wanted. Well, he didn't get everything he wanted. The rules change at that point and his life gets even more complicated and dire. For me, that's the interesting part of the story. It's got some great action sequences in it and some incredible stuff that we've never seen before. But at the heart of it, it's a story about this kid [for whom] all he wants to do is fit in. This thing happens, and he still doesn't fit in. And he has to prove himself a hero — essentially, go AWOL to save a friend. Eventually, at the very end — I don't want to give away too much — but he does fit in. But it's the journey, of getting him there, that's interesting. And it's a lot of fun.

Inception:
Christopher Nolan says his dream-invasion movie, filmed in six countries, is a bigger undertaking than The Dark Knight. And he says it's even more mind-expanding than you'd suspected:
I grew up watching James Bond films and loving those and watching spy movies with their globetrotting sensibility.... We get to do that here, not just geographically but also in time and dimensions of reality as well. We get to make a movie that's expansive, I suppose you'd say, in four dimensions.
Dune:
Now that director Pierre Morel has talked up his respect for the original books, he's adding that his remake will be faster and more modern than the 1984 David Lynch movie. And the clothes won't be 19th century "Captain Nemo" clothes, but will really look modern. Also, he's going to work with futurists, scientists and designers to figure out what the technology would look like in a far-future society that doesn't use computers at all. He adds that his Dune "is not a sequel to anything. It's just a re-interpretation of the original novel." [MTV]
John Carter Of Mars:
Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston will play a Civil War colonel who comes into conflict with John Carter. [Heat Vision Blog]
The Crazies:
Here's a third trailer for this crazy-town remake. Which should totally have as its theme song Ozzy's "Crazy Train" except changed to "Crazy Town."
The Wolfman:
A couple new TV spots. [ShockTillYouDrop]
Lost:
More of the filming of the Desmond/Charlie scenes in the alternate universe where Flight 815 landed safely. Desmond and Charlie are in a car, arguing, and Charlie impulsively grabs the steering wheel and jerks it, sending the car flying into the water. Then they filmed a scene where Desmond crashes a huge gala, a fundraiser for the Golden Gate Natural History Museum, which is being hosted by Eloise (Fionnula Flanagan) — and witnesses heard her referred to as Mrs. Widmore. (So in this timeline, she married Charles Widmore?) Desmond is apparently crashing the function, looking for Penny. He tries to look at the guest list, but Eloise snatches it away and rebuffs him. "For what?" He snaps, before stalkng away. Then Desmond and Eloise had another scene, with Daniel Faraday and Mikowski present as well. [Hawaii Weblog and Hawaii Weblog and SpoilersLost]
Josh Holloway went on Ellen and said the show isn't going in the direction he expected, and it doesn't make sense to him... yet. But he's hoping it will. [LylyFord]
And here are some new promo pics of Miles and Frank. [LylyFord]
Dollhouse:
Amy Acker says she's in one more episode, but it's very different than the one you just saw. And she drops some very cryptic hints about her character's relationship with Boyd:
There will be a connection, but it's not Claire. I definitely have something to do with Rossum in the next episode… does that make sense?
Umm... No? [The TV Addict]
True Blood:
A new casting call includes the werewolf Alcide's V-addicted ex Debbie Pelt and Alcide's protective biker sister Janice Herveux. Also, there's Kitch, the high-school football hero who's replaced Jason as the hometown hero, plus Donnie, a road crew member with Jason who kisses up to Kitch, and Tammy, Kitch's hot girlfriend. And there's Ann, a stripper who gets devoured by three vampires. But most shockingly, there's Felton Norris, a relative of Calvin's and "violent young punk" who strips Lafayette's car and "helps beat up Lafayette." Noooo! [SpoilerTV]
Caprica:
Alessandra Torresani says she plays five different people from the first episode to the season finale — Zoe, "virtual" Zoe, Robot Zoe... and two others? Also, Gemenon, the colony, is a "democratic" theocracy, and the cradle of monotheism — and it's the source of those monotheistic terrorists, the Soldiers Of The One. [L.A. Times]
Fringe:
Here are some promo pics for episode 2x13, "The Bishop Revival". [SpoilerTV]
Being Human:
This new BBC Winter/Spring trailer includes some snippets from this show, plus a bit of Ashes To Ashes... and only a teeny amount of Doctor Who.
The Survivors:
The final episode of season two is "monumental," says Paterson Joseph, who plays Greg. His character will clash with Max once more, because Greg blames Max for everything that's happened. "There's an impasse they reach where they say that they can't be in the same group because they disagree so fundamentally." In the episodes leading up to the season two finale, Greg has a flashback, and that plants a seed to where "the whole family goes" in episodes five and six. "By the time the death happens in the family, Greg has found this thing - he's got this holy grail thing - and he's gonna answers questions we all have." [Digital Spy]
Buffy Season 8:
Why are we already learning that Twilight is Angel, so long before the finale? Joss Whedon says, "What this means is much bigger than "Angel put on a mask and caused a lot of trouble." It's definitely bigger." [ComicBookResources]
Heroes:
Greg Grunberg teases where Matt Parkman is heading:
The only way to get rid of or really handle the evil guy Sylar is to get more dark and more evil than he is, and that's pretty much where my character goes.
Actually, the only way to get rid of Sylar is for Peter to have killed him when he had the chance a few episodes ago. Or Hiro, a few episodes before that. Or... oh, never mind. [EW]
