We already know that Superman Returns’ Brandon Routh will be joining the cast of Chuck in its third season, but that’s not the only former Smallville resident heading to the BuyMore. Or the only very familiar face, for that matter.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that not only will Smallville’s former Lana Lang Kristen Kreuk be joining the NBC series for a multiple episode arc next season, playing new love interest (and co-worker at the Best Buy) Hannah, but so will Law & Order’s Angie Harmon, playing a spy named Sydney (An Alias shout-out, perhaps?) who’s out to kill Captain Awesome for some currently unknown reason.
We’re holding our breath to see how all these guest stars work out on the show; we’re suspicious of stunt casting in general, but we have to admit that Scott Bakula and Chevy Chase kind of worked out last season, so maybe we should trust in Chuck and see what happens.
