From Cingular next month, a new cradle for cellphones called the FastForward that will automatically forward calls made to the phone to a landline number. Works only with compatible Nokia and Motorola phones (and of course you have to be a Cingular subscriber), but support for some Siemens and Sony Ericsson handsets should come soon. Besides the cost of the cradle, the services runs $2.99 a month (which is waived if you’re an SBC landline customer), but you have to give Cingular props for coming up with ways for their customers to spend less on their cellphone bills, rather than more.
