While fine espresso makers are the exception, coffee makers often fail to inspire through new, fresh design. But this wedge-shaped coffee maker concept by design student Kamil Kurka is striking, if nothing else.

Armed with a minimal set of knobs that control coffee output and froth, this (single serving?) coffee maker features a semi-spherical shape that spits in the face of corner-friendly kitchen counter design, but as long as it doesn’t spit in our coffee, we’ll take it.
