Dallas Cowboys Stadium Will Have World's Largest Video Screen

The Dallas Cowboys will be taking over the world's largest video screen crown from that Japanese race track in 2009. Their HDTV will be a total of 11,200 square feet-actually bigger than when they were talking about this back in 2006-which beats the 8,066 sqft. Tokyo Racetrack one by quite a large margin. If 159 feet by 71 feet is too big to comprehend on a scale usually dominated by inches, imagine how long four busses would be if they're parked end to end. A cheerleader nipslip would turn into Mount Vesuvius. [Dallas News - Thanks Travis!]

Update: Reader Bob tells me that the current largest screen isn't the one in Japan, but one at the Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. Thanks Bob! [Kansas City]

@Monty: Actually the Mitsubishi outdoor sport displays are some of the best made. The article doesn't say the pixel pitch of this LED screen, but the other Mitsubishi's I've seen in Vegas and Times Square blow the competition away (Daktronics, LG/Newton, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc). The Cowboys may have trouble winning on the field, but Jessica Simpson will look mighty fine on this screen.
