Illustration for article titled Desktop Clock is Highly Configurable, Shows Hundreds of Stats

You may already have a widget for everything under the sun, but PC users, you might want to try this Systemetrix desktop software tool that not only tells you the time, but lets you know a whole lot of other stuff about your system as well.

This clean-looking clock is not the only skin you can put on this sucker, and it can show you hundreds of things about your system, such as e-mail stats, system resources used, drive space left, your IP address and lots more. We loaded it up and it works great. Best of all, it's absolutely free.

@big_marky_t:

"Widget" is not a trademark of Apple, and has been used by many groups WAY before Apple did. As such, Konfabulator (now Yahoo Widgets) used the term (before Apple did, if I remember correctly), as well as many other widget engines.

Microsoft, stupid as it may be, decided to name their system "gadgets" but it is the same thing.
