Did You Know That You Can Move Entire Brick Buildings?

My dad moved a brick wall once. Seriously. He used a chisel to break the four sides of the wall, moved it a meter, and then applied cement to fix it to its new position. These, however, are entire buildings.

It happened in Moscow before the World War II, where more than 100 buildings were moved to make streets wider. No wood buildings, but full brick and mortar structures with multiple floors. According to English Russia, the buildings kept working normally during the move, which was accomplished using lines of cylinders and hydraulic jacks. [English Russia]
