This old world's too noisy, and any attempt to isolate our eardrums from all that racket is certainly welcome. The next attempt at vanquishing the cacophony is Swedish company Jay's, showing us its d-Jays earphones that are said to eliminate up to 90% of ambient noise.

The great thing about sound isolation is, when you cut down external noise, your volume doesn't need to be turned up to 11 in noisy environments such as flying in an airplane or operating that jackhammer of yours. But Jay's claim of eliminating 90% of ambient noise is probably true of most in-ear phones when they're properly fitted.

Available in black or white, we like their looks, and now we're wondering how they sound. Hey, certainly these $79 in-ear phones can at least beat those stock iPod buds.
