We’re not even close to getting proper 3G wireless here in the States, but not only is Japan’s NTT DoCoMo working on a 14Mbps 3G cellular data network that they hope to deploy within a couple of years, they’re already researching a 100Mbps 4G network that should be ready sometime around 2010.
