It was only a matter of time, really: the good people over at Droid X Forums have scrapped together a 12-step root that so far (based on limited feedback) seems to work.
Still, I’d be a little worried about that tricky eFuse kill switch if I used my newly rooted Droid X to load a custom ROM. But I’m one of those faint-of-heart types. [Droid X Forums via BGR]
