Up until now, it was always a bit difficult to avoid falling into the uncanny valley while watching trailers for Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson’s giant Tintin movie. But we’re happy to report that this brand new collection of clips has whisked us all away into a REAL world and not a mo-cap nightmare. It’s actually quite beautiful, take a look for yourself.

The Adventures of Tintin — which was written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish — is about “Tintin and his friends discover[ing] directions to a sunken ship commanded by Capt. Haddock’s ancestor and go[ing] off on a treasure hunt.” Among the boy adventurer’s crew are Thompson and Thomson, played by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

Tintin will hit theaters on Dec. 21st.
