As you likely know from the trailers, the scifi movie Edge of Tomorrow is about Tom Cruise reliving a single day until he can somehow change the course of a battle against alien invaders. To do so, he trains with Emily Blunt, who kills him whenever they need a “reset.” Apparently she took her role seriously.
As Blunt explained on Conan the other night, she was filming a stunt driving scene with Cruise in the passenger seat when… actually, I’ll let her tell it. Suffice it to say the story doesn’t end with Tom Cruise dying, reawakening in his trailer earlier that same day, and then getting prepared to shoot the scene again for the first time.
