Exploring the Great Outdoors From a Remote Control iPad-bot

It's a beautiful day outside! You should go and get little sunlight. But you just can't bring yourself to move; the couch is just too comfortable. Luckily at Gizmodo's Home of the Future you can have it both ways, and it is glorious.

Meet Double Robotic's telepresence robot. Essentially an iPad mounted atop a remote-control segway-doodad, this little guy is designed to accommodate off-site workers who want to do a little more than just Skype in to a conference room. We imagine it is great for that, and we intend to give that a shot, but in the meantime we have learned that this telepresence robot is also great for sneaking up on people at parties and running into them (footage coming soon!). That and venturing outside from the comfort of your living room.

Stop by Gizmodo's Home of the Future and maybe Double Robotic's telepresence robot will sneak up on and run into you! It's more fun than you would expect. Swing by and we'll prove it.
