Those of you who took Microsoft up on their “watch three webcasts and get a free copy of Windows Vista Business” offer should start checking your mailboxes because copies are starting to arrive. Yeah, Microsoft’s actually delivering on their free copies instead of renegging like they did on those free USB keys when too many people signed up.

When you think about it, it’s actually good for Microsoft to be giving away these business editions. With the upgrade path between XP and Vista even more unclear than the path between 2000 and XP, forking over free copies may be a good way for them to get more businesses to make the switch earlier, instead of waiting until Service Pack 1 is released.
