One of the featured devices in the KDDI Designing Studio’s prototype area (the 3rd floor’s Creation Studio) is the AI-MATE. They’re calling it a hybrid communicator, something that integrates a mobile phone with PDA features in a PDA-like form factor — it’s about the size of a typical Palm Pilot. Although it will be making an appearance at the upcoming Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan, this is probably the first chance you’ll get to play around with one them. Oh, and getting the demonstration girls to help you figure out how to use them is a definite bonus.
