The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is a 12.7-inch Android tablet built around Google Gemini, with the AI assistant baked into the home screen, the search, and the system settings. The tablet runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, paired with a 3K LCD display tuned for reading with a Low Blue Light hardware mode. The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro with Google Gemini is currently $289 on Amazon, down from its $340 list price for a 15% discount.

A reliable daily tablet with a variety of features and use cases

Google Gemini is the centerpiece of the Idea Tab Pro, with the AI assistant accessible via the home button for writing, research, translation, and brainstorming. Circle to Search also lets you draw a circle around anything on screen, such as text, images, or video frames, and pull up Google search results without leaving the current app. Plus, the same Circle to Search interface handles instant translation for languages you don’t read.

The 12.7-inch 3K LCD display handles the bigger jobs: longer documents, full PDFs, split-screen note-taking with a video lecture in the second window. The screen also includes a Low Blue Light hardware certification and a mono/chromatic mode toggle for reading at night without straining your eyes. Quad JBL speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos handle the sound from both edges of the tablet, with surround processing for movies and games.

Performance is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM. This handles streaming, web browsing, note-taking, casual gaming, and multi-app split-screen smoothly. Wi-Fi 6E also supports faster downloads on a compatible router. The battery lasts over 11 hours of video streaming per charge, enough for a transcontinental flight or a full study session without needing to reach for your charger.

For note-taking and sketching, the Tab Pen Plus stylus is included in the box with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The included folio case also props the tablet up at a typing angle or a viewing angle and protects the screen when you’re carrying it in a backpack. The Idea Tab Pro runs Android 14 and offers access to the full Google Play Store, including Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.

At $289, down from $340, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro bundles the tablet, the Tab Pen Plus stylus, and a folio case in one box, which would usually require you to buy them separately. For students taking notes in class, anyone replacing an aging Android tablet, or families looking for a media tablet that handles writing and reading, the discount brings the Idea Tab Pro into a budget that fits the tablet category without compromising on screen size or RAM.
