Blu-ray and HD DVD may become non-existent with the new HVD coming into play. HVD is the holographic versatile disc which has been in the making for nearly 20 years and it is finally going to happen, maybe. The two players in this battle are American InPhase and the Japanese company, Optware, which we have reported on in the past. Optware is already claiming that they will have a 200GB HVD drive out by the end of 2006. HVD is where it is at, better speed, size, and would possibly serve as a better new media format.
