Google has removed 21 apps from the Android Market that were confirmed as malware. The apps were designed to get root access to the user’s device, collect data, and download additional code. These are very bad things the apps were doing. And they were downloaded by at least 50,000 users.

If you’ve downloaded one of the following apps recently, each from a company called Myournet, uninstall it! And honestly, probably see if you can trade in your handset for a new one, since your personal information has likely been compromised:

Falling Down

Super Guitar Solo

Super History Eraser

Photo Editor

Super Ringtone Maker

Super Sex Positions

Hot Sexy Videos

Chess

下坠滚球_Falldown

Hilton Sex Sound

Screaming Sexy Japanese Girls

Falling Ball Dodge

Scientific Calculator

Dice Roller

躲避弹球

Advanced Currency Converter

APP Uninstaller

几何战机_PewPew

Funny Paint

Spider Man

蜘蛛侠

As frustrating as Apple’s closed system can be sometimes, there’s a strong argument to be made for the basic level of consumer protection it provides. Because while there is a very basic malware screening process before an app can be admitted to the Android Market, it’s apparently not quite getting the job done. [Mashable]
