The good news: Hasbro has revealed a number of the toys, dolls, figures and collectibles they'll be selling at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con via USA Today and they are unbelievably awesome. The bad news? You have about as much chance of purchasing these as of getting into Hall H to see a Joss Whedon panel (spend 12 hours in line and then only maybe). Still, you're going to want to check them out.
Now, that's obviously the 6-inch Star Wars Black collector's figure of Boba Fett with an exclusive Han Solo-in-Carbonite accessory above. Here's the rest:
DJ Pon-3 from My Little Pony. The packaging lights up.
This Marvel Legends Thunderbolts set includes 6-inch figures of (l-r) Judith Chambers, Ghost, Crossbones, a new Luke Cage and Moonstone.
This $140 Jem doll will come with a golden record trophy and in the classic retro "Glitter n' Gold" packaging (no cassette tape, though).
But the creme de la creme is undoubtely the new G.I. Joe/Transformers crossover set, which not only includes:
A jeep styled after the Autobot Hound...
...a jet modeled after the Autobot Jetfire...
...a figure of Snake Eyes wearing an outfit with an Autobot logo on it...
...a crazy robot samurai named Bludgeon, but also...
...THE BARONESS HOLDING RAVAGE THE DECEPTICON ON A LEASH. HOLY XAMOT AND TOMAX ON A HOT TIN TROUBLE BUBBLE.
Still, there's more good news — if you can manage to not buy these things on eBay for five times the selling price the week after SDCC, you'll be saving a shit-ton of money.
