Finally ready to create your very own theatre setup at home? The upgrade won’t exactly be affordable, but Best Buy has the perfect deal to keep the costs (somewhat) in control.

The retailer has just slashed $1,300 off the 98-inch Hisense Class QD5 Series Hi-QLED 4K UHD smart TV, bringing its usual $2,300 price to just $1,000 today. The discount has landed at a time when Amazon is busy rolling out its early Prime Day deals and we won’t lie, Best Buy has managed to distract us a little from those with this offer right here.

If you’ve been thinking of replacing your old TV with a newer, much bigger model, now is the time to get things done.

Superior visuals for all your favorite content

The highlight – of course – is the size. You’re getting a massive 98-inch screen that can transform your living room into your very own mini cinema. It’s great for solo sessions, but feels even nicer when streaming with family or friends since everyone gets the best view from wherever they’re sitting in the room. Thankfully, the massive size doesn’t mean any compromise on the picture quality at all. 4K Ultra HD, paired with Hi-QLED Color, ensures vibrant, lifelike visuals where every shade stands out. Brighter areas feel refreshing, while dimmer scenes still let you make out all the details (like shadows) properly.

There’s a built-in AI 4K upscaler that automatically improves low-resolution content like older videos to almost 4K quality. This especially makes a difference when you’re streaming a really old movie from maybe the 70’s, or going through childhood videos filmed through a very basic camera. Another helpful feature is the AI Smooth Motion, which uses MEMC, AI Noise Reduction, and a built-in highly responsive panel to keep the video ultra-crisp, even during fast-paced scenes. In addition to that, the TV has a dedicated Filmmaker mode that presents the picture exactly how it was envisioned by the creators, before being fine-tuned!

Dolby Atmos takes care of the sound department by delivering deep, bold audio that surrounds you and fills the entire space, whether you’re binge-watching a show or gaming. And speaking of games, gamers will also appreciate the 144Hz Game Mode Pro, which delivers a variable refresh rate of 48Hz to 144Hz for smooth, lag-free gaming.

Support for Google TV means the TV comes with a range of popular streaming apps pre-installed, plus lets you download whatever else you need. You’ll be able to watch all your favorite movies, TV shows, and even live TV channels from across your preferred apps and subscriptions.

This TV normally goes for $2,300, but is currently available for just $1,000 at Best Buy. The offer saves you $1,300, and the retailer is also throwing in a free 30-day trial to Fubo with your purchase. On top of that, you can save 10% on relevant TV accessories like a wall mount, too.
