The comedian who starred in The Office and Hot Tub Time Machine will be joining USA’s hacker drama, which is supposed to get even more intense in season two.

Variety reports that Craig Robinson has signed on as a recurring guest star for the next season of Mr. Robot, which started filming yesterday in New York and is set to premiere this summer. He’ll play Ray, a neighborhood local who’ll apparently have some kind of kinship with Elliot (Rami Malek). It could be a more serious role. But if Mr. Robot’s incredible freshman season was any indication—what with all its murder, substance abuse, big business cyber attacks, familial turmoil, and general dystopian malaise—any laughs Robinson brings could go a long way.

Craig Robinson is awesome this could be his chance to do some work outside of comedy which should be interesting.

Is it just me or did Mr. Robot seem to show the most accurate portrayal of NYC on tv? It reminded me of my time there so much it started to give me anxiety.
