Hot Toys' Battle-Damaged RoboCop Figure Might Be Too Detailed

As much as Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop is about a heroic crime-fighting robot cleaning up the mean streets of Detroit, it's also about the unsettling story of a man being turned into a machine. It's hard to forget that scene when RoboCop first takes off his helmet revealing what's left of Alex Murphy, especially now that Hot Toys has perfect captured it in this stunningly detailed sixth-scale figure.

Available for pre-order on Sideshow Collectibles' website for $250 and shipping in July of next year, it's hard not to be a little creeped out at the detail here. Standing just under a foot tall the figure boasts 25 points of articulation, swappable hands and fists for different poses, as well as Peter Weller's steely gaze looking deep into your soul. The best included accessory has to be the three bottles of baby food so RoboCop can recalibrate his targeting systems. Now that's attention to detail. [Sideshow Collectibles via Plastic and Plush]
